Minecraft launcher installation selection always reverts to latest release

      The bug

      When opening the Minecraft launcher, the default selected installation always reverts back to the latest release instead of the last selected installation. i attached a gif for illustration

      Steps to reproduce

      • Open minecraft launcher
      • Select custom installation
      • Close & Re-open Minecraft launcher
