Minecraft Launcher will not respond upon an attempt to launch. No visible attempt to launch is made, no matter how the app is called, via dock, spotlight, etc. The only way to get the app to start is by going into activity monitor and killing the unresponsive process. This occurs most times upon a new session of the game, and is resolved by the above steps reliably. This issue prevents use of the game in many cases.
