Edit: Never mind actually, I just needed to update my computer and that did the trick.

I'm getting the notice on the top right corner about the launcher needing an update. I have restarted the launcher multiple times now, yet it doesn't run any updates. What can I do to fix it?

I am on the launcher version 2.2.743, but I listed it as 2.2.877 in the thread information since that option wasn't available.
