I tamed all the different variants of cats for the achievement, and decided to help my friends by breeding them with a single cat of their own so they could get all the different colors for the achievement also. after we got the last one she did not get the achievement even though she owned all the different cats. When she checked it said she only had one cat out of 11. Is it not possible to get the achievement this way?
