When starting the Minecraft launcher it crashes immediately without notification. After removing the .minecraft folder from my appdata the launcher started fine. It seems to be related to a skins configuration file. See the log file attached.

Note that the skins json file referenced in the log file does NOT exist in the .minecraft folder.
