Trying to login but get a "Could not connect to server."

    • Just brought the game. Was playing on an account that one of my friends brought me. However his own account got hacked and wanted his account back, so I brought a new account.

      Could not connect to server. Error pops up everytime I try logging in, and I can't log into minecraft.net either, the login button would just not work, however I can log into minecraft.net on my chromebook.
