Newest Minecraft launcher Failing to connect to internet, despite game being able to

I expected Minecraft to let me connect to a server, and to open the realms menu, but instead it advises to restart the launcher, and i Noticed it was not connecting to the internet after repeated attempts & restarting my computer it would not connect, despite the actual game updating server information & being able to ping servers

I do not understand how to replicate this bug or why it happens but it will not go away no matter what i do
