Starting the launching and play minecraft

What actually happened was...:
I launched minecraft and waited about 4 hours and it just stayed like this: whit the play button grey and status stuck on "updating profile and version list. Please help i bought the game monday i never played minecraft and i spend 20€ and i cant play it!
