      More info

There is a high probability, that the issue seems to be tied specifically to the Max-editions iPhones and generally large display phones. iPhones mostly, but 1 Android have also been reported by a commenter to have the issue.

I noticed there were similiar issues reported early in MCEs development, but a workaround to restart the app does not fix this issue, which leads me to think it is a separate one, but with similar effect.

      Detailed description and scenarios

After updating the app to R16 (April 14, 2020 update) and re-entering MCE, the UI flicked inclreadingly intensely until it was completely black. Then all I got was a black screen. Upon further investigation, I can interact with UI elements, and hear sound, so it is like there is a black overlay on top of Minecraft Earth, however! and this is what separates this issue from previous ones: This issue persist through an app reinstall.

I was able to get some of the UI back tempoarily by guessing the location of the challange menu. I then scrolled further down and the screen got black again. When I closed the menu, some of MCE's tapapple area was visible, but upon restarting the app, everything was black again.

I included screenshots to show what this black overlay looks like.
