Game Unplayable due to constant switching between Controller and Keyboard Input

      After recent update the game constantly switches between keyboard and controller input, making it unplayable with controller. Each time it tries to switch between the two FPS goes from 60 to 8 and lag occurs. Each time the input switch and lag occurs the Souls meter under artifacts lights up and a chiming sound plays.

      Character often gets stuck charging a bow and cannot move or shoot. Character often gets stuck running places the user did not specify and the user cannot stop it without switching to moue to click somewhere. Character often gets stuck using melee attack repeatedly and cannot be stopped. Game stutters and jumps due to the framerate instability making it very difficult to navigate.

      Controllers tested: official Xbox One controller, PowerA Xbox One style controller. Both created the issue with no improvement. No custom mapping for either.

      Modes tested: Fullscreen mode and borderless window both created the issue. Despite other articles on similar issues, fullscreen did not fix it. Avoiding clicking other screens or tabbing out also made no difference. Switching to a different, fresh USB and letting the controller be rerecognized also made no difference and the issue remained the same.

      Quality settings: no improvement between quality set at max and quality set at medium.

      PC: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6500 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.19 GHz, 32GB RAM, GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1060, Motherboard MSI Gaming Z170A GAMING M5

      Other: this PC was able to run this game with no issue around August 28th. Input did not constantly switch, and there was no lag. Those with mouse hand issues or difficulty playing with mouse movement would find this issue makes the game unplayable. Without WASD movement capability this is a major impediment to gameplay.

      Video footage available, but it goes over the file size limit. Still screenshots are, obviously, not of help here so I didn't attach any. Also, your "tips on making a good report" article is broken so I have no idea if I gave enough information to be of help.
