The message shown is supposed to be like these...

• when you pick up an item: "Hai raccolto [item name]"
• when another player picks up something: "[player name] ha raccolto [item name]"

This was correct but a couple of months ago with an update, the message turned into this form you can see from the screenshot, which is the literal translation but sounds weird and pretty ungrammatical...
