Game freezes when mining

I'm mining in survival mode near 2 cave spider spawners. I've put up enough torches that there shouldn't be any spawned spiders. At random points, the game freezes and I have to shut everything down without saving. The seed is -8713399784145619775. The location I'm mining is at x = -2514 y = 28 z = 1887
