      Description

In a 3x3 2 deep hole, my breeder pile would consistently lose villagers through the glass. Checked if it were a glass issue by changing to solid block top and dirt bottom. Adult and baby villagers phased through both after being shoved into the wall by other villagers. Especially happens during loading, but in #2, I was within 16 blocks for some time before I moved towards the breeder pile.

In large groups of villagers, multiple villagers tend to pick random corners, and shove other villagers into each other, then potentially shoving them through corners. I do not have video of this.

If a single villager is stuck in a 2 block high room, and surrounded by 1 high solid blocks on N/S/E/W, the villager can escape on his own diagonally. Did not test this further.

      Enjoy.
