    • Trading with villagers.

I had 20 coal in my inventory and broke down 5 blocks of coal. This gave me a full stack of 64 plus one extra piece. This extra piece ended up in my hot bar and I thought nothing of it. I then traded with a villager for some emeralds. However, after the first trade I noticed that the 64 stack was still intact and the one in my hot bar was gone. This is when I tried it again, and again, and again. I figured out that as long as you have enough for the initial trade, say 17 coal, then you can trade 1 piece in your hot bar for one emerald.

This bug also works in reverse. Say a villager has an item being sold for a high price of 52 emeralds. I only have to have 53 for the initial trade, and he will only take one. I just put one in my hot bar and the rest are in my inventory. I can and have done multiple trades with all of the various types of villagers. This is heavily exploitable.

A friend and I wanted to see just how many emeralds we could get, and after 20 minutes we had a full pyramid for a beacon made from emerald blocks. That's 164 blocks, which equals 1,476 Emeralds in approximately 20 min. We only stopped because it was 2:30 in the morning and supplies were getting low.

P.S. The farmer is the best to trade with due to how many trading options there are. You can just recycle between carrots, potatoes, and wheat for a very long time.
