game crashing if i enter a part of the map

You spawn in the jungle, there are two villages just outside of the jungle but in opposite directions. One is a desert village, the other is plains village.
Exit the jungle, go towards the village in the plains biome, and watch the game freezing and crashing a few seconds after you enter the plains biome.
From the minecraft forum, this is happening to several users after last update, and it's Always happening in plains biomes.
