Nether portals stopped spawning pigman

Matrix of nether portals are no longer spawning any pigman. Zero pigman spawned over 8 hours with 120 portals for a gold farm. Tried setting for both normal and hard on both adventure and survival. Checked all other settings. Found everything to be normal.
