It should be possible to use several texture files for a single model simultaneously and then to specify which part/box of the model uses which texture file (the former/actual system of which parts of the texture file it uses remains too, of course).
- Maybe allow for different and/or specifyable sizes/resolutions of the texture files, but this would be completely optional.
Justification and Use Case:
As it is at the very moment, models in Minecraft are, due to the relative binding of the model boxes to the texture file, restricted either in the model's detail grade or in the model's size. Using multiple texture files however would remove a big obstacle in the creating progress of a Minecraft model, opening the doors for even more creativity in mods.
