      Description

      Summary:
      Hooks for vanilla client identification
To easily and securely identify the type of running client mod. I.e. To be able to catch clients of a certain type, non vanilla, spout, etc.

      Description:
      Proposed Addition:
Developers should be able to determine what client each player is using.

      Specific Features:

Hook the client version and/or its modifications.

      Justification and Use Case:
To be able to make servers with only a certain type of client allowed would be a great addition to a server's ability to focus on only one client type. It would also mean increased security since hacked clients would get a harder time disguising themselves as, for example, vanilla clients. Let it be based on a time-varying hard coded algorithm.

      Challenges Faced:
Even though it has a mean of security, it would probably require some intense work to make sure it actually omits modified an/or hacked clients (since developers/hackers tend to adapt to the current security scheme)
