Zombie Pigmen are still missing their swords in the nether as of 13w06a

      This is related to #MC-1000. That report was marked as fixed, but I just found the exact same bug in snapshot 13w06a, but I noticed that Zombie Pigmen in the Overworld are carrying swords. I am using the default texture pack. A way to fix this is to switch to peaceful and back. It also seems to happen randomly so I cannot reproduce it very well.
