      openjdk version "1.8.0_71"

      Applies to:
-Hostile mobs actively pursuing the player
-Passive mobs following player with food (e.g. cow following wheat)

      Issue:
Mobs look away from the player while they are following them. This is just a creepy cosmetic issue for passive mobs, but poses a challenge against hostile mobs. It is significantly harder to know if a mob is pursuing you, when they don't look at you. Skeletons can load their bow like in the attached picture, but the arrow still fires in the direction of the player.

This does not happen in the same environment under MC version 1.8.9
