Before I talk about the issue, tbh I think this is not a bug but I had no other option for Issue type so I chose Bug for Issue Type. Forgive me.
If you look straight down with fishing rod, throw bobber, wait and pull when the fishing hook splash, the item you fished don't reach player but just drop down back to the water. I think those items should be able to reach player and get picked up. I guess this problem has existed from long ago, but because I guess this is not a bug, I'll not tag all the verision,
