Unconfirmed
I'm trying to build an Iron golem farm in my spawn chunks, so I start building it because when I started the world I confirmed that it was going to be in my spawn chunks, but then after a while I noticed that my compass was pointing somewhere else so I followed it and it lead me about 200 blocks away. I then did some tests and determined that somehow my spawn had been changed to that location. So I enabled cheats to use the /setworldspawn command to set my spawn chunks back to where they were before. That seemed to have fixed it, but after going through a nether portal and coming back, somehow the spawn got changed again, and it got moved to the exact same spot. I did some testing and confirmed that going through a nether portal changes the center of the spawn chunks to the coordinates of the two wood blocks in the screenshot. In the background you can see where I am trying to build the farm. I also used a spawn chunk finder tool to confirm that where I am building the farm is where the spawn chunks should be. And its not that the compass points the wrong way because I tested it and it changed spawn. not just the compass direction. Also it still happens even without the compass in hand. Ive closed and reloaded the world and it did not fix it.
