The bug
When you hit a wolf, it will stop being aggressive at some point, however when you hit a wolf and other wolves join the attack, they will stay aggressive forever even after the player who attacked the first wolf escapes that wolf, and the first wolf is no longer aggressive.
How to reproduce
- Use the following command a few times to summon multiple wolves
/summon minecart ~ ~ ~ {Passengers:[{id:"wolf"}]}
- Switch to Survival mode
- Punch one wolf
- Walk 16 blocks away from the one wolf – this will cause it to no longer be aggressive.
