      Use default resource pack and English language
      Turn on "Force Unicode Font" option
      Place sign and enter "The quick brown fox jmp" (1st screenshot)
      Turn off "Force Unicode Font" option
      Look at the sign (2nd screenshot)

      The same when using resource packs with different font width and "Force Unicode Font: On" (3rd screenshot)
