The bug in question is to do with shields.

upon blocking an attack from a zombie using the shield I noticed that the
icon of the shield had changed and the shield itself had turned from a blue shield to a black shield, after this the name stayed as black shield but the icon changed.

in my main hand i had a diamond sword
