I was testing a contraption I made that had command block minecarts and when I died and respawned they disappeared. I attempted to duplicate this and it only seems to happen if you die in both Survival and Adventure mode. Right-clicking does nothing however if you attempt to move the cart it still makes the sound. When I reloaded the world they reappeared.
