If you make your own potion and use the /give command this potion has no texture . I tried it with some different potions f.e
/give @p potion 1 8193 {
CustomPotionEffects: [

{ Id: 23, Amplifier: 0, Duration: 600 }

],
display:

{ Name: "No Hunger", Lore: [ "Amazing" ] }

}
on the screenshots you can see the same potion in 1.8.6 and the new snapshot .
