Was around a mostly buried desert temple to find entrance when heard thunder sound. Looked around, saw an enderman who teleported when. When I got inside the temple all was fine, but when I opened up the floor I saw that the contents had been blown up. Apparently the enderman had triggered the pressure plate.
While this is probably perfectly normal behavior, it is not desired behavior. Recommend fix: when checking for enderman landing coordinates, re-roll if the landing pad contains a specific match of blocks around it that is identical to a untouched temple pressure pad area (4 chests, air, tnt, etc.).
