When in 3rd person view (or F5 mode), the lines/crosshair that normally appear in F3 don't appear.

I've attached 2 files: the first one is when I'm in 3rd person view and the second is when I'm in 1st person.
The crosshair can't be seen in the 1st picture, but it can be seen in the second one.

How to reproduce:
Go into 3rd person mode (F5)
Open up F3
