I built a house twice and once the chunk unloaded, the whole area went back to the way it first was both times.

I loaded up a new world to play. I traveled not too far from spawn and found a pretty place to build a home. I built a big medieval house and I was very proud. It took me around 3 hours to build in total.

(I started the world in survival with cheats and then built the house in creative. After I was finished I turned back to survival.)

I then went to a village in another chunk to explore. I went back to my house and the terrain was exactly how it was when I first came upon it. No house, no torches, no sign of exploration. I then rebuilt the same house and it did the same thing after I saved and closed the world.

I decided to create a new world with the same seed and just placed a dirt pillar. I went out of that chunk and sure enough it was gone. I tried restarting my game and I created another world yet again. Built a dirt pillar, let the chunk unload and it was gone again.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this, and hopefully help me solve the issues I am having with my game.
