i found this by accident, when setting up pistons like the 1st picture with 2 pistons redstone and a block under the pistons, when you place a redstone block on one of the pistons the start to both open and close violently as shown in the 2nd picture the pistons ignore the redstone block and it never visibly moves, also you can simply walk threw the side that is open and never clip the piston tho the redstone block still remains solid, it can also be noted that if you place a repeater coming out of the gap (the side opposite of the redstone block) it pulses 1 tick on and off, while placing the repeater on the side of the redstone block just cuts the repeater on and never cut off until the redstone block is removed, last if you place redstone next to the redstone block or the gap on the same plane the pistons stops moving and the redstone block gets moved to the location where the redstone dust was placed
