opening to LAN issue, host number starts with 0.0.0.0: and fails to connect (I was on a laptop)

What I expected to happen was...:
my friend on the same wifi could connect to the LAN with the adress in direct connect (as usual, I do y=this a lot)
What actually happened was...:
the adress was 0.0.0.0:(other number) instead of 192.168.0.224:(other number)
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go on a world
2. Go to pause and click 'open to LAN
3. The adress is 0.0.0.0:#####
4. on the non-host computer, it says connection timed out, I tried multiple times but the problem remains
