So, I had just taken out everything in my .minecraft, saved it somewhere else, opened MC again, and placed my important MC files (such as saves, versions, profiles, etc.) from the original .minecraft folder into the new one to fix some issue I had where every time I joined a server, the game would crash with an error report about a ticking screen exception.
Then, I opened Minecraft again and joined a new Vanilla 1.8.3 server my friend had just made.
Now, 1.8 has never worked very well for me when it comes to servers. Every time I went through an inter-server portal, my game would freeze with the background screen (the one made of dirt blocks) and leave my mouse captured, making me have to open up task manager and kill java without using my mouse at all.
However, this time I would freeze about once a minute if I stayed completely still, or if I moved my mouse to look around at all it would freeze for an even longer period of time. (During this time of anywhere from 1-5 minutes, my mouse would be locked as well, unless I was in chat or in my inventory.)
Today, however, I switched my allotted memory for MC from 1GB to 2GB, and after joining the server and freezing, I held down F3+C to trigger a manual crash, and this was the result. It might tell you a bit more about my system, the server, and possible causes of the problem:
