Unconfirmed
I noticed over time that my villagers began to breed again and again despite the fact that I had done everything to avoid zombie sieges, random spawns and fall damage. I walked into my village and could hear a villager suffocating. It died before I could find it.
I'm not sure how it could have suffocated so my assumptions are that the villager somehow got stuck in a wall, in a similar way mobs get stuck in fences. I'm assuming these two are related. While my village is large enough to counter this, it is annoying to find villagers dying and loosing good trades.
Steps to Replicate
The best way to replicate this would really be to set up a village, preferably one with smaller houses and about 20 villagers and just wait. It happens at random.
I'm not sure how to fix that glitch unfortunately.
