    • My Minecraft is completely unmodded, except for optifine. My Java is up to date, with the new launcher, but I don't know what version it is.

In 1.8, I couldn't play survival worlds because chunk glitches would pop up everywhere. I was overjoyed when the fix to 1.8.1 fixed this, but I came upon a new problem. Where, in 1.8, a 16x16 hole in the ground would appear, in 1.8.1, a 16x16 pillar will be there. It's just a regular chunk, but at the wrong elevation. This is ruining my Minecraft experience, and I would really appreciate it if someone would help me with this.
