"Pick Block" On, "variant: wood_old"

What I expected to happen was...:
To get a textured wooden slab.

What actually happened was...:
I got an untextured block.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open 1.7 world.
2. Place a wooden slab on floor, both: Half: Bottom and Half: Top.
3. Close world then reopen in 1.8 or 1.8.1.
4. Now, "Pick Block" on the blocks that you placed in 1.7 world.
