Closing a trap door via right-click from underneath is impossible when holding an item in the hand. For placeable items, this will put the item next to the trap door instead. For tools / weapons, nothing happens.

Without any item in the hand, it works.

It also works while sliding down a ladder, but not when standing still (on a block or on a ladder with Shift pressed).
