When I made a custom world with 'desert hills' selected as the biome, a few chunks away from my spawn was a jungle-in a specifically desert world. The jungle was in perfectly even chunks. A ways away, an extreme hills biome in exactly 1 chunk has been seen.

This has happened before, usually when I set the biome to 'desert hills'.
