TLDR: Skin bug, dedicated server doesnt update skin and shows a bugged version of steve.
After the 1,8 update, i updated the server .jar file to the current version, and when I logged in i found my skin all messed up in what seemed a chopped up and misplaced skin of good ol' steve.
I assumed this was due to the new skin texture and re-uploaded a new skin, alredy fit to the new format, only to find it didnt change. Afer some hours trying to work this around, i understood the singleplayer had the skin i uploaded, which meant the problem was most likely related to the dedicated server itself, since the skin had been uploaded into my account.
With barely no help in this specific subject i tried messing with most online/offline options and replaced the .jar file of the server to no conclusion.
As a last resort i tried deleting my user .dat files in the server , but since there were other users info, i'm not so sure i finished the job properly.
The pictures below illustrade a simple irelia skin I uploaded to test again if it changed, and the steve version of my dedicated server. Other players reported to see my player with the standart steve skin.
Any specific help would be appreciated.
Thanks for your time.
