Put the summary of the bug you're having here

When I create a new world of the survival type, the first thing I do is harvest some wood for constructions of tools and an initial base. When I go to harvest wood, I mine it and then it still remains there sometimes after disappearing for a millisecond or so. It remains there for varying amounts of time, sometimes a second, sometimes five seconds. Occasionally it works as it should and harvests right away, but that is rare.

On the first world I created in 1.8, this happened for a while until a full day cycle occurred, and I had built a foundation for a cabin. I decided the next day to instead play on extra large biomes as I usually do, and went to harvest wood and the same issue as before happened with even greater lag periods between when the block would actually pop out of place and fall. When whacking the leaves they would also reappear, but usually only for a second maximum. Dirt blocks mined out as they should in a timely fashion in both worlds initially. So far it is continuing to do this so I am submitting this report. When I ignore the blocks reappearing and go to mine the next tree block, some of them that I mine never pop out when I mine multiple wood segments.

      Steps to Reproduce:
      1. Make new world, I did survival each time
      2. Go mine some tree blocks
      3. Experience the bug
