There are visible "lines" between the blocks. They appear to be the background "shining" through the gaps in the blocks. I have experienced this bug before, but with a previous version of Minecraft and with the "sonic ether's unbelievable shaders" mod. The fix was to change a certain option in the Nvidia control panel. The Nvidia control panel configuration does not appear to have any effect in 1.8. This bug does not appear in any previous vanilla version of Minecraft, ONLY in 1.8. This bug also seems to be visible at a small distance of a few blocks.
WORKAROUND:
Set MipMap Level to Zero.
Also, found that updating java to version 8 update 20 will fix this problem. Even with mipmap enabled!
