When a player dies/respawns, entities such as zombies and skeletons sometimes become invisible. This only happens SOMETIMES and it's not the potion effect, and aggressive mobs/interactive entities can still be heard/can attack the player, but the player cannot kill/destroy the entity. After around 30 seconds - a minute, they will become visible again.
