Known among pvpers, we call this the Relog Bug. This bug occurs when another player logs in after someone else, and it gives them the advantage of not being able to be knocked back as far, as you can do to other players. Minecraft pvp does not consist of skill anymore, it all comes down to who logged in last, which is really stupid. There is multiple reports on here and it still has not been fixed after multiple updates.
