I was playing in my survival world, which I generated entirely in full release 1.8. I was underground, approx. y=9, and mining. When I came across a lava pool, I walked over it with cobblestone. Suddenly, Java crashed, and I was prompted to "Close Program". I did, and reopened minecraft. This happened several times, until I started Save & Quitting from the menu inbetween every step. Obviously, this is no way to play, so I thought I'd put it here.
The attached file is (i believe) the latest crash log. Perhaps this is not, but I'm pretty sure.
