Every time I encounter a creeper I end up with a crash. The moment I attack with a sword the game locks up and crashes. Same thing occurs if I just let the creeper hit me. Oddly, if I attack from a distance using a bow and arrow the game continues just fine.
I've just put my PC back to factory settings, so there's nothing funny going on with my OS.
