As of 1.8, the multiplayer settings section in the options screen only contains chat settings, it's even titled that when you click on it. In previous versions (1.7...), this section was split into multiplayer settings and chat settings, but the only multiplayer setting (show capes) has now been moved elsewhere.

So "Multiplayer Settings..." should be changed to "Chat Settings...".
