While in a world, I saw that gravel was acting as it should, but acted weirdly near (x:29,999,980 | y:100 | z: 29,999,980). I built a stone pillar and put gravel next to it, and the gravel seemed to clip into the pillar as it was falling but then return to being on line. (NOTE: this doesn't happen away from the farlands.) I tested it with sand and it worked the same, but when i tested it with the the dragon egg, it worked very differently (explanaion for another time). Anyway, i hope it gets resolved.

What I expected to happen was...:
Gravel and sand falling normally near the end of the world.

      What actually happened was...:
gravel and sand fell clipped into the blocks but then landed normally.

      Steps to Reproduce:
      1. Go the the edge of the world using (/tp [Username] 29999980 100 29999980) and you should be right next to the world border.

      2. Make a pillar up a couple blocks up from the ground, then place gravel/sand.

      3. Notice that the gravel/sand falls clipped in the the pillar. (if you destroyed the pillar, then the block will be off set from the rest of the blocks but will return to where it should be)
