On a mac, out of game, like here i can create a "~" by typing Alt+n.
This doesn't work in in-game chat.
It would be really useful to fix this so mac users can use the
~ ~ ~ for the own coordinates when summoning an entity.
Please delete this if this bug has already been reported, i tried to search but didnt find a similar post.
