To whom it may concern,
I have been playing Minecraft for the past couple of years. I enjoy it very much. Lately, I have been experiencing difficulty with loading multiplayer servers; my Minecraft window actually closes when I try to login to a multiplayer server. When I reload Minecraft, it does not show a crash report, which I think is somewhat odd. I usually resolved this issue by just inviting friends to my single player by opening it to LAN. However, I have encountered difficulty with opening single player servers to LAN as well. I believe my issue may be missing file(s), or perhaps a broken script (if that is the proper description). I am hoping that somebody can help me figure out the problem, and also perhaps help resolve the issue too. Since this is a personal issue and not something that may benefit everybody, I would completely understand if you overlook it.
My issue actually began when I accidentally deleted the .minecraft folder; I deleted it because I messed up something and could not uninstall the program. I tried to re-download Minecraft, but it wouldn't work. So in the end I just transferred the .minecraft file from a friends computer to my own so that I could play the game again. I have not been able to play on multiplayer servers since then. Is there a file that I may be missing, or a broken script? Is there a way to replace it, or am I SOL?
