when destroying a block in creative mode, the block destruction is delayed. however, the sound and particles are not delayed

*What I expected to happen was that the block would be destructed or placed immediately

*What actually happened was I destroyed the block in creative and the sound and the particles appeared on cue. but the blocks disappearance was delayed. in survival the block's disappearance is slightly delayed, but when it disappears it still shows that the block is still there. when placing a block there are lines showing that the block is there, but block is unseen till moments later. particles and sound are not delayed
Also sometimes when placing a block in survival the block will be invisible. when destroyed the block will sometimes appear, but as a ghost block, effect does not subside until block is picked up
In creative the same effect as survival is shown. effect does not subside until player walks into the block

Steps to Reproduce:
1. left click on any block, or right click the block you want to place in creative or survival
2. view how the placement or destruction of a block is delayed or displayed
3. the placement of block in survival or creative will occasionally result in an invisible block
4. left click on invisible block in survival or creative
5. once destroyed block will either come in view as ghost block
6. if it is a ghost block try and see if you can find the item it dropped in survival or walk into block if you are on creative
7. once item is picked up or block is run ito, the effect subsides
